Safety & Abuse

ClaritySnaps is designed around private user storage, while still maintaining a process for serious abuse, security incidents, and legal obligations.

No routine Vault browsing

Admins do not have a normal feature that lets them browse customer Vaults. Access to private content should only occur through a narrowly scoped safety, security, legal, or abuse-response process and should be logged when implemented.

When a safety review may be appropriate

  • A credible user report or abuse complaint.
  • A security signal suggesting malicious use or account compromise.
  • A legally valid request or preservation obligation.
  • A child-safety signal involving apparent child sexual exploitation or abuse material.
  • An urgent threat involving imminent harm.

Child-safety escalation

If ClaritySnaps becomes aware of apparent child sexual abuse material or other reportable online child sexual exploitation, the response should prioritize preservation of necessary evidence, restricted internal handling, and legally required reporting. ClaritySnaps should not redistribute, download unnecessarily, or email the material as part of the report process.

U.S. reporting routeUse NCMEC’s CyberTipline for suspected online child sexual exploitation. For an emergency or imminent danger, contact law enforcement or 911.

Privacy-first response principles

  • Limit access to the smallest number of authorized people necessary.
  • Record who accessed what, why, and when.
  • Do not use private content for unrelated product, advertising, or curiosity-driven review.
  • Do not promise absolute privacy where law, security, or abuse-response duties may require limited action.
